Alice Langehennig......an enthusiastic and energetic musician with a heart to
serve the Lord and share His blessings through music. Alice currently
resides in Hereford, Texas where she is Music Director for First United
Methodist Church. She arrived in Hereford August 1999 after receiving her
Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma,
Washington. Responsibilities at First Church include adult, youth, and
children's choirs as well as handbell choirs. She especially enjoys bell
choirs and has arranged several pieces for bells. Alice has also composed
several anthems for her choral choirs. Other talents besides her directing
skills include being a fine pianist and flutist. When possible she enjoys
photography -- particularly seeking Scripture in nature!

Her musical interests began when she was born into a musical family in
Monroe, Louisiana. Her mother was church organist for over 35 years, her
father a faithful choir member, and all four of her brothers are musicians.
God's direction was certainly evident when Alice landed in Hereford.
Only three weeks after her arrival, she and the tenor in her new choir both knew
God had brought them together. Three months later they were married!
Between Terry's three teenage children, who live with Alice and Terry, and
Alice's three children, two of whom are grown, and two grandsons, Alice never
has a dull moment! But God manages to provide strength for home family, a
full-time career in music ministry and enthusiasm for sharing God's blessings
through piano concerts, photography, and writing.
